Univision the major Hispanic radio and television network in the United States, has announced the nominees for the awards “Lo Nuestro”.

Alexandre Pires is the prominent artist of 2003, with three nominations in the following categories: Artist of the year, Album of the year and Video of the year for the video clip of the song “Quitemonos La Ropa”.
“Lo Nuestro” is one of the three most important awards for Latin Artists, the other two being the “Billboard” and the “Grammy”awards.
The award ceremony will take place on February 26 at the Miami Arena stadium.

Alexandre who was nominated for his album “Estrella Guia” will compete against artists like Ricky Martin, Juanes, Alejandro Sanz, Gloria Estefan and others. It’s worth remembering that in 2002 he was nominated as Revealing Artist of the Year for his first solo album in Spanish.
