Yahir, between clapper boards and mic

A cheerful onomatopoeic title for the latest on the Mexican. And not without reason. Benozzo is just back from Mexico D.F. where he recorded the voice parts for of the new album by Yahir, who was also busy on the film set of “Soñaràs”. The young artist was relaxed and concentrated at Estudio 19 right from the first takes. The outlook for the week was good.

The final result was as follows: “This album marks a moment of great artistic growth for him. In a short time he has managed to establish an excellent repertoire and a terrific work team. He is full power both in the studio and on video,” commented the Azteca TV channel. “We started out immediately on the same wavelength. Bob got me to sing my best, with a strong intention, but effortlessly”, said the artist.

Altogether they recorded 11 tracks, including Yahir’s first song as songwriter-composer, 3 from the Stay Tuned label, and a duet with another great talent, Lena, protégé of Alejandro Sanz, with a dreamy “Vorrei incontrarti fra cent’anni” by Ron. All this with the coming and going of record companies and TV bosses, and a healthy dose of enthusiasm and irony.
